"The Session 25 of the École du MAGASIN this year decided to remark the statement of the participants of the program as not simply students but as young professional curators. In order to do so we planned the program of the school thinking at it as a nomadic one.
As curators we know that we are going probably to spend most of our professional time to travel for visiting and making exhibitions, for meeting some people, for having talks, for making projects…
We wanted to invest our time and opportunity here at Le Magasin to travel outside of it and to come back full of advices about the context of the CNAC itself.
We built up an “expanded advisory board” and, on doing so, we linked the project of the school, as a research project, to the main summer exhibition we are going to curate.
We participated at two main seminars: “Artists ideals an the ideal curator” (Rotterdam) at the Witte de With museum and “How institutions think” at the LUMA Foundations (Arles).
We had meetings with lots of professionals and we visited several exhibition spaces in order to questioning ourselves about the main topic of our research: the pre-existing context of the art center as a consistent part of the exhibition itself.
During the #ecolenomade trips we had the opportunity to meet and talk to:
