Throughout the summer, Le Magasin CNAC has hosted artists' residencies and workshops where members of the public have been invited to come and meet, practise and co-create...
This party is an opportunity to get together around these creations, to meet Cindy Bannani for the finissage of her exhibition, Les 35 et les 99 965 autres, and to put the finishing touches to her participative work, to open the big blue doors on a moment of sharing and joy.
Events are free and open to the public.
Radio Savate with Cindy Bannani
17h–19h • Galerie Expérimentale
Ahead of the end-of-summer party, Radio Savate takes up residence in Cindy Bannani's exhibition.
To mark the opening of the exhibition Les 35 et les 99 965 autres, Cindy Bannani is reviving Radio Savate, the fictitious radio station created by marchers during the 1983 march for equality and against racism. For the launch, Cindy Bannani is inviting friends and participants who helped design the participatory banner that can be seen in the exhibition.
In the presence of Laure Haumont, Östran Merabti, Amar Ruiz, Camilia Sakraoui.
With readings by Leïla Chams Barkaoui, Amine Habki, Noémie Pirus-Hassid, François, Ketsia and Kryssandra from Soul Food.
Workshop feedback
18h–20h • La Rue
Feedback from workshops held over the summer with artists Cindy Bannani, Tilawin Project, Amar Ruiz, and our Été Culturel partners Asali, Beyti, Maison des habitants Chorier-Berriat, Pays'âges...
Screening of Les Films de la Villeneuve
18h–22h • Salle des pratiques
Les Films de la Villeneuve invite you to discover the short film they made this summer during their residency at the Magasin CNAC, along with a selection of previous creations.
Shooting at the art centre from June to July, they invited young and not-so-young people from their own network and that of their partners to visit the exhibition En attendant Omar Gatlato : épilogue. These visits were filmed without a script, bringing them face-to-face with the works and giving them the opportunity to record the reactions of people who (for the vast majority of them) had never been to the Magasin CNAC or to a similar venue.
Henna dyeing of Cindy Bannani's work
19h30–20h • La Rue
Throughout her exhibition, Cindy Bannani invited the public to continue a participatory work: a large embroidered banner, initiated during her residency at the Magasin CNAC. The artist helped to bring to life the living memory of a movement that marked a turning point in the fight against racism in France. Today, members of the public are invited to attend the finissage of this work of art. Over 7 metres long, the banner will be dyed with henna before being unfurled.
DJ set by Amar Ruiz
20h–22h • La Rue
