"Jonathan Meese - Kader Attia"

This is Jonathan Meese 's first retrospective in France. The exhibition, made up of paintings, sculptures and installations, covers the artist's production since its beginnings, highlighting his collaborations with Jörg Immendorff and Albert Oehlen. At the same time, Kader Attia realizes a monumental intervention inspired by the Tsunami. The work, "at the same time attracting and pushing back," reaches up to 15 meters at its highest point, and is installed in the "Rue," the Centre's main space.
Prima retrospettiva in Francia per Jonathan Meese. La mostra, composta da dipinti, sculture e installazioni, ripercorre la produzione dell'artista sin dagli inizi, mettendo in Iuce le collaborazioni da lui intrattenute con Jorg Immendorff e Albert Oehlen. In contemporanea, Kader Attia realizza un intervento monumentale ispirato allo Tsunami. L'opera, "allo stesso tempo affascinanre e respingente", nel suo punto più alto raggiunge i quindici metri ed è allestita all'interno della "Rue", la sala principale del Centro.
